Province of Southern Finland

The Province of Southern Finland was formed on 1 September 1997. It consists of the former Provinces of Uusimaa and Kymi and the southern part of the Province of Häme. In addition, the municipalities Heinola, Sysmä and Hartola of the former Province of Mikkeli were included.
