Judicial and general administration

The State Provincial Office looks after the training for personnel in the debt-recovery services, is responsible for the inspection of debt-recovery offices and of distraint departments, monitors the uniformity of distraint procedures and ensures legal protection of the parties in distraint procedures.

The State Provincial Office also grants licences for collection services and other business licences and carries out supervision in these matters. As a general administration authority, the State Provincial Office manages payment deposits, sends notifications abroad and monitors compliance with the Reindeer Husbandry Act. The State Provincial Office also appoints the electoral district boards which confirm the result of elections.
