The Administration Unit is divided into five areas of responsibility: general administration, customer service, personnel matters, economic matters and data management.

We serve the operational units, jurisdictional district offices, district registries and all Laplanders by, for instance, looking after the provincial pay-office. The Administration Unit is actively involved in developing joint service outlets with other officials.

The object of these activities is to safeguard the operational requirements of the provincial government's various units as well as generate the services concerning the entire civil service department, effectively, economically and in a first-rate manner. The operational principles steering the everyday work lie in close client orientation, flexibility and openness. The networking-based mode of action along with teamwork are beneficially utilized within the management of many tasks.

Our tasks include:

    • services related to the State Provincial Office as well as the personnel, financial and data management services functioning under its administration
    • results-oriented control of the jurisdictional districts and district registries
    • coordination and development of assessment respective to basic services
    • general administration tasks: among other things, titles, life-saving medals and vari-ous honours
    • management-related support tasks
    • soil and forest improvement loans, pay-office, record office, archival and office services.
