The overall aim of the tourism safety -project between State Provincial Office of Lapland and the Department of Development of Economy of Murmansk Region administration is to promote safety of tourism in cooperation with authorities, tourism companies and other stakeholders.

This is aimed at by improving the awareness of safety issues, increasing cooperation and communication among tourism and other authorities, tourism companies, travellers and other actors and by cooperation, communication and networking to create more prerequisites for travellers’ safety and safe development of tourism between Lapland and Murmansk regions.

The main target group of the project are tourism entrepreneurs in Murmansk region and other beneficiaries are authorities and other actors in the region.
